Stable company working in the legal field is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Services Assistant to join the team. As a Legal Services Assistant, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our Legal Services Department which works in the real estate industry in addition to other legal venues. This is a vital role that requires strong organizational skills, common sense, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Training is provided. This is a temp to hire opportunity - full time,/ Monday-Friday and it is an in-office position. Benefits are available after the temp to hire period has been fulfilled..
Some of the key responsibilities are:
- Review and process documents related to foreclosure notices, notice of trustee sale, outgoing and incoming property postings - all in multiple states
- Understand the documentation needed for a Process Server to execute the Serve along with the Proof of Service
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and records using Excel
- Proofread and edit documents for accuracy and completeness
- Write clear and concise communications, including emails and memos
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the service process
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED, any college a plus
- Any Real Estate knowledge a plus
- Previous experience in real estate, a real estate attorney or administrative working the foreclosure industry a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in document management, including filing, scanning, and retrieval
- Attention to detail with the ability to proofread documents for accuracy
- Familiarity with legal terminology and contract review (civil cases)
- Experience with preparation and/or understanding of Process-Serving documents with knowledge of Proof of Service documentation a plus
- Proficiency in using computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work well under pressure
