Cake Decorator/Bakery Manager

The right candidate will
- Create, sell and display baked and/or decorated goods.
- Oversee cost to ensure proper pricing
- Ensure quality and freshness of product.
- Keep log of all waste.
- Understand and operates the retail label systems to ensure correct pricing.
- Work with and assign duties to team members based on business and upcoming store events.
- Supervise and perform departmental inventories to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.
- Communicate with Buying and GM teams regarding merchandising, new product implementation and appropriate pricing.
- Promptly follows through with directions.
- Coordinate vendor invoices to ensure timely billing.
- Function as a working manager, performing all tasks necessary to assure the smooth operation of the division.
- Knowledge of current inventories and ordering systems to order supplies and merchandise
- Maintain and operates departmental equipment.
- Ensure bakery department/equipment is kept clean and neat at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous managerial/decorating experience
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and pricing.
- The employee may lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
- Skilled use of all bakery equipment and tools.
