Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Responsibilities:
As a Roof Installer at TGR General Construction, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and durability of our clients' roofs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing the Roof Surface: Removing old roofing materials and preparing the roof surface by repairing any underlying damage.
  • Installing Roofing Materials: Installing various roofing materials such as shingles, tiles, metal panels, or membranes using appropriate methods.
  • Applying Waterproofing and Insulation: Installing waterproof barriers and insulation to protect buildings from moisture and heat loss, ensuring proper sealing around vents and skylights.
  • Cutting and Shaping Materials: Measuring and cutting roofing materials to fit architectural features using saws, shears, and other tools.
  • Installing Flashing and Roof Components: Installing flashing, gutters, and downspouts to direct water flow and prevent leaks.
  • Ensuring Roof Stability and Safety: Reinforcing roof structures to ensure they can withstand environmental conditions and supporting the weight of materials.
  • Performing Roof Repairs: Repairing damaged roofs by replacing shingles, fixing leaks, and resealing edges.
  • Cleaning and Maintaining the Work Area: Cleaning up debris and tools after the job and maintaining equipment in good condition.
  • Following Safety Protocols: Adhering to safety regulations, wearing protective gear, and using fall protection systems to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Documenting Work Completed: Utilizing project management software to keep record of the work you have done every day, leaving notes, pictures, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Roof Installer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing materials, tools, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical plans.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
