About the Role:

Purelight Power is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar Installation Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of solar installers, ensuring the successful completion of solar installation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of solar installers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with the construction manager to review employee performance, compensation, and corrective action for the installation team.
  • Train new installers on solar installation practices and safety standards, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Review projects before installation to identify potential issues and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Work on roofs, ladders, crawlspaces, attics, and other residential and commercial areas, ensuring a high level of safety and quality.
  • Implement quality control checks with each installation team, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards.
  • Interact with clients in a professional and respectful manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Accurately upload information to our CRM system, ensuring that all project data is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Stay up-to-date with code requirements and system installation, ensuring that all work is compliant with industry standards.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as OSHA safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the solar industry.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in leading a team of solar installers.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics, with a strong understanding of solar installation principles.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with roof work and general carpentry.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and work well in a team environment.
