Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Insurance Agent Sales Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers, providing insurance solutions, and meeting sales targets. 

Responsibilities

  • Present and sell insurance policies to new and existing clients. This requires effective negotiation skills, objection handling, and the ability to overcome clients' hesitations or objections.
  • Develop and calculate suitable plans based on client needs. This may involve comparing policies from different carriers, adjusting coverage limits, and recommending additional coverage if necessary. 
  • Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
  • Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options. This involves gathering information about clients' assets, liabilities, and personal circumstances to recommend suitable insurance policies.
  • Expand business reach through networking techniques such as networking, working warm leads, cold calling, referrals, and attending industry events.
  • Staying updated with industry trends. Continuous learning and professional development are essential to provide clients with the most relevant and up-to-date advice.

Compensation: Salary plus commission and bonus. Total annual compensation around $60,000

  • Before becoming a State Farm Agent, I was previously employed as a State Farm Agent Team Member.
  • We currently have 10 team members at our agency.
