MMC Group is hiring for Semiconductor Support Technicians for our client in Richardson, TX

Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Start: ASAP
Shift: M-F, 40hrs; OT as needed by customer projects, could be evening or Saturday OT
Pay: $20-24/hr

Purpose & Scope

  • Semiconductor manufacturing machines (tools) have process systems that require certification testing before the 'chip' making process begins.
  • Process systems are tested for leakage and system contamination to validate each system meets the engineering design specification(s) for safety and process contamination control.
  • Our client performs inboard mass spectrometer leak testing (MSLT / helium leak testing), particle count testing, moisture and oxygen testing on the Ultra-High Purity (UHP) gas and chemical distribution systems and equipment.

Work Environment

  • All work is performed at / in the customer's manufacturing facility.
  • Perform certification testing in sub-fab and fab class 10 cleanroom environments.
  • Sub-fab is the support floor and the fab is the process / production floor.
  • Working in sub-fabs requires surroundings awareness with all of the gas, chemical, and other mechanical systems throughout.
  • Working in cleanrooms requires wearing a full smock (headcover, facemask, cleanroom suite, cleanroom boots, gloves) for some or all of the shift.
  • Working around process tools requires heightened awareness of actions and tasks to prevent any type of process interruption.
  • Projects are a construction setting with multiple trades performing work to hook up the machine (tool) with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, and leather shoe are required for daily work.

Testing preparation summary:

  • Spotter for test technicians working on ladders or scissor lifts.
  • Running for testing materials, ladders,
  • Assist and learn to set up purge lines (jumpers), gas purifiers, gas manifolds / isolation valves / regulators, and gas filters.
  • Move, organize, maintain, test equipment, consumables, and tools.
  • Assist, learn, and perform barricading and essential interruption control measures.
  • Assist and learn to connect test gas supply lines to systems to be tested.
  • Assist and learn leak testing, particle count testing, and analytical testing.
  • Understand and adhere to customer and workplace safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of related work; training provided.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficient with hand tools and making up various types of mechanical connections.
  • Strong work ethic, reliable, motivated, safe, team player, with good communication skills.
  • Able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
  • Able to work at elevated heights (20 feet maximum working height) with fall protection.
  • Able to safely climb ladders and wear fall protection equipment.
  • Able to walk several miles over the course of a shift in a large manufacturing facility.
  • Have a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship for any length of time.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screens
