Assembly Technician

Job Summary: WGNSTAR is seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in the semiconductor industry. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining equipment in customer cleanrooms, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all required safety instructions at all times.
  • Move equipment into place in customer cleanrooms.
  • Perform equipment pre-installations and setups.
  • Install equipment to required quality standards.
  • Complete work with high-level attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Utilize detailed checklists and work instructions to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude/experience, including the ability to use appropriate hand tools, meters, scopes, and other specialized equipment.
  • Willingness to travel to various customer locations as required to support installation activity in different semiconductor fabs.
  • Must be flexible with all shifts, days/nights.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum education of High School Diploma required, or equivalent AS degree in an engineering discipline highly desirable.
  • Troubleshooting and electromechanical repair are a plus.

Physical Effort/Activities:

  • Ability to work in cleanroom environment, wearing all necessary PPE and Cleanroom attire as required for at least 8 hours each day.
  • Ability to work in confined areas, in awkward positions, and/or in high places.
  • Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds are required.
  • May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing.
  • May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous elements or conditions.
