Job DescriptionJob Description

Healthcare DME is seeking a part-time Medical Equipment Delivery Technician for our office in Mesa, Arizona. We are looking for someone who is dependable, reliable, and trustworthy to drive our company vehicle. The primary responsibility for this position will be delivering and setting up medical equipment in patient homes. This position is part time between 8:00am - 6:00pm. Occasionally, there may be weekend and overnight deliveries.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Receives a daily route and required supply list and prepares the truck for delivery by pulling stock (e.g., wheelchairs, hospital beds, bathroom aids, medical supplies, etc.) and loading equipment on the truck.

  • Instructs and demonstrates patient/caregiver/nursing staff on proper and safe use of equipment

  • Works/drives safely in all aspects of job, while obeying all traffic laws and company procedures. Safety is our #1 goal

  • Cleans, disinfects, repairs, and quality checks all products as required in accordance with set up procedures (comprehensive in-house training provided)

  • Completes and maintains a driver log, vehicle check out and vehicle inspection reports

  • Maintains cleanliness of front and back area dirty equipment area per accreditation standards

  • Completes required paperwork for all delivery, pick up, or service of equipment and adheres to HIPAA guidelines

  • Completes all required training, including continued educational training.

  • Loads and unloads equipment in an orderly and safe manner in accordance with set policies and procedures

  • Adheres to HIPAA privacy and confidentiality regulations and guidelines

  • Other duties and tasks as assigned
