Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for an Accounting Specialist with our client located in Burr Ridge, IL.  Our client, is a well-established organization who specializes in providing top of the line piping for the engineering industry. They’ve recently experienced growth in the company and are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. The 2 primary functions within this role would be performing payroll and accounts payable responsibilities for the organization.  The company is a well-established organization that possesses a very family oriented feel. This Accounting Specialist would be working alongside the CFO. This individual would ideally be able to interview as soon as possible and begin shortly thereafter.

Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing payroll for 45 employees
  • Assist in year end payroll reconciliation
  • Manage salary employees’ holiday, vacation, sick time requests
  • Responsible for computing, withholding, and applying deductions associated with net earnings for all employees 
  • Communicate with vendors regarding AP invoice discrepancies
  • Identify, research, and resolve AP invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Process AP invoices to pay vendors timely
  • Prepare and perform weekly check run

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience within AP and Payroll
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced setting
