Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for logistics and customer service? Look no further as we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lumber Dispatch and Shipping Manager to join the team in the Dallas area

Role and Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage all aspects of the dispatch and shipping operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of orders to our customers

- Create and maintain shipping schedules and monitor delivery routes to ensure on-time delivery

- Evaluate shipping methods and negotiate with freight carriers to optimize costs

- Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely preparation and loading of orders for delivery

- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with purchasing team to ensure timely replenishment of stock

- Manage a team of shipping and dispatch staff, providing training and guidance as needed

- Resolve any delivery or shipping discrepancies in a timely and effective manner

- Maintain accurate shipping records and provide regular reports to management on shipping performance and costs

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years experience in dispatch and shipping management, preferably in the lumber or construction industry

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage and motivate a team

- Proficient in MS Office and experience working with shipping software and programs

- Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required
