Summary:

Responsible for assembling industrial equipment and machinery using hand tools and mechanical equipment, ensuring structural integrity. Submits products for quality inspection.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and follow detailed instructions and established procedures.
  • Gather necessary materials and equipment.
  • Take precision measurements for component fitting.
  • Select or modify components per specifications.
  • Align and assemble parts to form complex units.
  • Ensure output meets quality standards.
  • Maintain equipment in good condition.

  • Adhere to safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow instructions and respond to management direction.

Qualifications:

  • Maintain equipment and keep production records.
  • High school diploma/GED required; technical school degree preferred.
  • 3 years of mechanical assembly experience desired.
  • Mechanically inclined with good intuition, dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and experience with hand and basic power tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and follow directions.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments preferred.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under time constraints.
  • Understanding of quality principles and math.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interpret information.
  • Professional, accountable, and able to accept feedback.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Physical Demands:

  • Standing, walking, bending, handling, reaching, lifting, talking, and hearing.
  • Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
