We’re looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. If you have a passion for design and a drive to innovate, this is your opportunity

Key Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent

Experience: Minimum of 3 years designing parts for manufacturing

Skills:

  • Familiarity with metal fabrication processes, including sheet metal, machining, castings, and weldments.
  • Proficient in CAD software and FEA
  • Part Tolerancing, GD&T experience is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with ability to effectively multitask
  • A strong understanding of Mechanical Design and Material Analysis

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design mechanical components and assemblies
  • Assemble and test prototypes. evaluate results
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production challenges
  • Document and maintain new designs
  • Participate in sourcing of custom designed parts and purchased components

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee design changes through the change order process
  • Conduct continuous value analysis of parts and assemblies
  • Provide suggestions to enhance manufacturing productivity
  • Collaborate with BTE’s Production, Quality, Customer Service, Creative, and Clinical Departments
  • Improve products and processes within the company, as well as research new and emerging technologies for products
  • Experience with human factors and biomechanics is a plus
