 Job Description: Field Supervisor – Luxury Residential Projects

Position Title: Field Supervisor

Location: Southlake, TX

 

Job Summary:

The Field Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations at various job sites for our high-end residential AV projects. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Field Supervisor will act as a liaison between the project managers, clients, and the field team, ensuring seamless communication and execution of all project phases.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

- Project Management:

  - Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities for AV installation projects.

  - Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.

  - Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.

 

- Team Leadership:

  - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of AV technicians and installers.

  - Conduct regular site meetings to review progress, address issues, and ensure team alignment.

  - Provide on-site training and support to technicians as needed.

 

- Quality Assurance:

  - Perform regular inspections of work performed by technicians to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.

  - Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.

  - Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.

 

- Client Interaction:

  - Act as the main point of contact for clients on-site, addressing any concerns or questions.

  - Provide regular updates to clients and project managers on project progress.

  - Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.

 

- Logistics and Resource Management:

  - Coordinate the delivery and installation of equipment and materials to job sites.

  - Manage inventory and ensure all necessary tools and materials are available for technicians.

  - Oversee the setup and breakdown of job sites, ensuring cleanliness and organization.

 

- Safety and Compliance:

  - Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to safety regulations.

  - Conduct safety meetings and trainings regularly.

  - Report any accidents or incidents promptly and ensure proper documentation.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Experience:

  - Minimum of 5 years of experience in the AV industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  - Proven track record of successfully managing high-end residential AV projects.

 

- Skills:

  - Strong leadership and team management skills.

  - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  - Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.

  - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.

 

- Technical Knowledge:

  - In-depth knowledge of AV systems, including audio, video, networking, and lighting control systems.

  - Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and installation practices.

  - Experience with Crestron, Elan, Lutron, Ketra, and other related brands is preferred.

 

- Education and Certifications:

  - High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.

  - Relevant certifications such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) are a plus.

 

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

- Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and in confined spaces.

- Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
