We are seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist to join our team In this role, you will be responsible for all environmental, health and safety programs at Nixon Power Services including regulatory compliance, program development, report generation and submittal and more You will provide on-site expertise for all EHS matters to prevent and eliminate injury and illness to team members. Our ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter who can maintain a fast-paced environment and successfully juggle competing priorities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, author, and manage all EHS policies, manuals, procedures, and trainings.
- Ensure compliance with all Customer Safety Portals (Avetta, ISNetworld, etc.)
- Implement and lead safety initiatives.
- Accountable for all Root Cause Analyses
- Ensure all documentation is complete for any Recordable Incidents, and when necessary, Near Miss Incidents.
- Execute NFPA 70E Training and ensure compliance
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure compliance with all EHS documentation.
- Lead the Strategic Safety Council and ensure Safety Committees are established and lead at each service center with local leadership teams.
- Conduct regular Field Safety Audits with Technicians.
- Execute annual objectives/LPI’s and establish operating policies, as needed.
- Partner with Nixon’s Risk Management partners, as needed.
- Other duties assigned.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 3-5 years of EHS related experience in a manufacturing/distribution/service environment.
- Strong ability to lead, persuade, motivate, and influence others.
- Extensive knowledge of OHSA/EPA regulations and violations.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of programs.
- Excellent customer service skills.
