Job Description: New Business Development Specialist for Low Voltage/AV Contractor

Position Title: New Business Development Specialist

Department: Sales and Marketing

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Business Development Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development, with a focus on the low voltage, residential audio/video industry. This role will involve identifying new business opportunities with individuals as well as construction industry professionals, building and maintaining client relationships, ab driving key revenue growth.

Salary- 40k base plus uncapped commission.

Responsibilities

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and trends in the low voltage, residential audio/video industry.
  • Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to develop effective sales strategies

 

Lead Generation

  • Identify and generate new leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, referrals and online research.
  • Qualify leads to ensure they meet the company’s target and customer profile.

 

Client Relationship management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Understand client needs and propose tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and address and issues or concerns promptly.

 

Sales and Proposal Development

  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales and presentations and proposals
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project proposals.

 

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business development goals.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

 

Networking and Partnerships

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build networks and identify potential partners.
  • Develop partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance business opportunities

 

 

Qualifications

2-5 years experience in business development, sales, or a related field

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth

 

Skills

Strong understanding of low voltage systems and technologies

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships

Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

 

Other Requirements

Ability to travel as required for client meetings, industry events, and other business related activities.
