Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Claims Manager for a multi-billion dollar construction project in the Westchester County area. The Claims Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of project related claims and change orders from construction managers, architects, engineers and other vendor involved on this high-profile project.

Essential Duties And Job Responsiblities

  • Track and timely respond to all claim related issues by liaising with Construction Managers, Design Professionals, internal project teams, internal audit team and consultants and internal legal;
  • Provide due diligence for, draft and distribute notices and responses, and lead all dispute resolution;
  • Provide central tracking and coordinated responses to monthly Construction Reports under all contracts, including auditing and correcting inaccuracies within reports to avoid or mitigate potential claims;
  • Track risks for potential claims throughout the project lifecycle. Such risks shall include market volatility (price fluctuations of labor and materials), design changes under consideration, impacts of schedule delays on project costs and other items;
  • Collaborate with the Project Controls team to respond to findings raised by Regeneron’s Internal Audit team and consultants.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of construction experience in one of more of the following: Claims Management, Financial Reporting or Project Budget Management;
  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Finance-related is preferred;
  • Ability to lead, manage and resolve disputes;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to create financial reports and presentations for Senior Leadership;
  • Experience working on large scale, multi-year complex construction projects.
