  • Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies

  • Examine and confirm existing contracts, costs, and prices

  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships, focusing on commodity buying and selling

  • Follow Supplier Approval SOPs to assist QA in approving suppliers

  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms

  • Collaborate with key persons internally and externally to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations of the company

  • Finalize purchase of orders and deliveries to complete orders on time

  • Track and report key functional metrics for cost and time savings

  • Identify and work with 3PL and global forwarders to negotiate terms and arrange for LTL, LCL, FTL interstate and global freight.

  • Assist in setting up supplier audits.

  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs

  • Complete any additional tasks as requested by Management, even if that task is not listed as a direct responsibility.

  • BS/BA degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration, but NOT REQUIRED as long as experience proves it
