The Pharmacist will execute the responsibilities of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing pharmaceutical sales and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established quality assurance procedures.
- Review and verify prescriptions from healthcare providers for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Ensure compliance with laws related to home delivery pharmacy operations.
- Provide guidance to prescribers, patients, and pharmacy staff regarding medication interactions, side effects, and proper storage.
- Consult with prescribers as necessary to clarify prescription details.
- Oversee pharmacy operations efficiently in the absence of the Lead Pharmacist or manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a BA/BS degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D and at least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist in a retail environment; or a combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-volume mail order or specialty pharmacy is preferred.
- Familiarity with pharmacy adjudication platforms is highly desirable.
- Experience in training teams on new processes is a plus.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred.
