Russell Tobin's client, a leading beverage alcohol company is hiring for a Licensing Specialist to work in a hybrid model.

This role has responsibility to ensure compliance with licensing regulations. The role works closely with Legal, as well as with the brand registration specialists, and will also work with state excise.

Employment Type: 3 month Contract/Hybrid

Location: Stamford CT, New York NY, or Plainfield IL (Local to either one of the locations)

Pay rate: $44-$50/hr, DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Familiarity with the Code of Federal Regulations, specifically Title 27
  • Preparing documentation and paperwork, with clear communications.
  • Interact with government officials, as well as key internal stakeholders.
  • Establish best practices and standards in conjunction with other team members.
  • Maintain large portfolio of licenses without lapse.
  • License schedule maintained with no lapse in coverage
  • Record keeping for all licenses
  • Maintain bonds
  • Advise on new requirements in case of law or business change
  • Provide licenses to sites and advise on posting in compliance with regulations.
  • Continuously challenge ways of working, ensuring consistency of process and compliance in all states even in face of changing regulations.
  • Grow self through regular updates and training.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience with federal regulations and documentation with a regulatory or legal background.
  • Comfort reading state regulations and contrasting with Federal.
  • Comfort complying with state regulations, and deadlines.
  • Experience in lieu of degree, College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Paralegal experience preferred
