Your Day-to-Day
- You should be able to logically order and complete your daily priorities. In addition to being a proficient independent worker, the ideal candidate can thrive and contribute in a collaborative team environment. On an average day, your agenda may include the following tasks:
- Daily work within the chart of accounts
- Daily accounts payable preparation and processing
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliations
- Completing variance analysis and review of various accounts
- General ledger accounting
- Monthly journal entries
What You Bring
You are a fast learner who completes tasks proactively and values open communication within a team setting. You are able to organize your tasks effectively and can manage important records for multiple accounts simultaneously. Above all, you are motivated to start a career where you can grow professionally, take ownership of your role, and see a measurable impact of your work.
Your attributes include:
- Willingness and capability to work on-site M-F (8:30 to 5:30 with occasional over-time when necessary)
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a corporate Accounts Payable setting
- Proficient knowledge of MS Excel (v look-ups and pivot tables required
- Working knowledge of an accounting platform (Sage a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Team player - willingness to lend assistance to co-workers as directed by immediate supervisor
- Strong attention to detail and organization
