The Assistant Supervisor collaborates closely with the Supervisor to lead the team and manage site operations, ensuring that services are delivered to the client in alignment with company values and performance standards. This role requires strict adherence to corporate policies, health and safety protocols, and compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with the Supervisor to oversee and manage the operations of the assigned site, ensuring the contracted scope of work is executed.
  • Provides technical support to employees and ensures compliance with company employment policies, safety regulations, and relevant industry standards.
  • Assists in coordinating, creating, and publishing weekly team schedules that align with budget requirements.
  • Monitors operations to ensure staff adhere to safety rules and task assignments, providing necessary training to maintain safe and consistent operations.
  • Conducts and reviews frequent safety audits to promote safe work practices and sets expectations for direct reports.
  • Supervises employee performance, offering coaching and development to foster team success.
  • Assists with new hire training, policy compliance, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Supports timecard processing and vacation schedule management as required.
  • Engages in constant communication with the management team and the client to ensure smooth operations.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs various systems as needed, including electrical, mechanical, and safety systems.
  • Completes required paperwork for regulatory and client needs.
  • Performs necessary maintenance and repairs on equipment, including conducting electrical tests and maintaining components.
  • Communicates inspection findings to the Supervisor and Regional Manager in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to and enforces the use of protective equipment while working, maintaining a strong focus on safety for the entire team.
  • May require periodic travel (typically no more than 25% or as directed by management).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent skills in reading, writing, and reasoning) is required.
  • Trade school or formal mechanical maintenance training is desired; however, training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, though training will be provided as needed.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and persuasive skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of clients, employees, and leadership.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • General knowledge of regulatory standards, equipment capabilities, and job requirements.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including those involving hazardous conditions, and to lift or exert force exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Must possess appropriate licenses and certifications.
  • Willingness to work beyond regular hours when necessary.
  • Ability to travel overnight as required.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and substance screenings, including ongoing verifications to ensure compliance with company policies.
