Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Wholesale Purchasing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for purchasing products from manufacturers and negotiating prices to ensure the best possible costs for our company. Your experience in bulk buying and understanding of cost savings advantages will be invaluable in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Purchase products from manufacturers, including flooring and construction materials
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
  • Analyze product costs and develop strategies to optimize purchasing decisions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable supply chain
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and pricing
  • Utilize Excel skills to analyze data and create reports as needed

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in purchasing from manufacturers
  • Experience buying in bulk and understanding the cost savings advantages associated with bulk buying
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Excel is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (but not required)
  • Experience purchasing flooring or construction products is a huge plus
