Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Post-award administration and coordination of assigned clinical trials, grants, and contracts for research and other non-sponsored programs.
  • Monitor incoming revenue, run and maintain cash receipts reports, and work closely with internal and external entities to obtain corresponding payment details to ensure timely posting of payments.
  • Perform quantitative and financial analysis of complex spreadsheets from Oracle's diverse financial system to provide timely and insightful analysis of projects.
  • Assist with conducting monthly variance analysis, budget, and forecast projections, and other financial reporting, such as preparation of comprehensive P&L statements.
  • Ensure accurate posting of journal entries to the sub and general ledger for corporate research contracts, federal, state, and other sponsored agencies.
  • Collaborate with Research Financial Services (RFS) central Grant Specialists in the reconciliation of billings arising from all sources of Grants and Contract research sponsored programs.
  • Maintain financial analysis templates to ensure allocation of cost and payment from sponsored programs are allowable and allocable.
  • Review and approve Marketplace requisitions, reconcile and maintain Purchase Orders for associated clinical research services, perform adjusting entries as needed to post costs to project accounts, and provide responses to inquiries related to contract awards.
  • Submit salary and fringe relief cost transfers and budget allocation through journal entry by cost center in Oracle Financial system.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.
  • Four (4) years of related experience required.
  • Equivalent experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Basic Research environment within a healthcare or academic organization preferred.
  • Experience at a non-profit and/or higher education medical center is preferred.
  • Experience with OnCore CTMS preferred.
  • Knowledge of CPT coding and EPIC research billing is preferred.

Office environment. Moderate noise.
