Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Management Analyst specializing in Strategic Program Management with a focus on policy support. The ideal candidate will have experience in understanding and applying federal laws, regulations, standards, and guidance for federal government operations. This role involves conducting organizational studies, designing systems and procedures, and preparing operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct organizational studies and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and increased efficiency.
- Design systems and procedures to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Conduct work simplification and measurement studies to optimize workflows.
- Prepare operations and procedures manuals to guide management in effective operations.
- Understand and apply federal laws, regulations, standards, and guidance for federal government operations.
- Provide strategic policy support to ensure compliance with federal financial management practices.
- Develop and deliver professional written and oral communications to various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with department-level individuals and senior executive officials to implement policy changes and improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience understanding and applying applicable federal laws, regulations, standards, and guidance for federal government operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of working knowledge of federal financial government policy, preferably within DHS or USSS financial management practices.
- Possess professional written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Program Management, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field with relevant coursework and/or training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in strategic program management within a federal or similar environment.
