A real estate client of ours in Chicago / River North is seeking a contract Accounting Manager (Hybrid role: 3 days in office / 2 days from home).

Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance and prior Real Estate industry experience required

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the management and execution of the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions and the timely preparation of month-end financial statements
  • Manage all accounting activities related to month end close (i.e., account reconciliations, monthly close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and additional processes to ensure proper accounting)
  • Sales / commission related accounting
  • Help develop and maintain policies and procedures.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting of Finance required
  • Prior Real Estate industry experience required
  • ERP system experience (Yardi) preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well with all levels of employees
