A SaaS client of ours in Chicago (Downtown Loop area) is seeking an Interim FP&A Director to join their team (100% in office).

SaaS Industry and Large Public Company experience preferred

GENERAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the company's financial strategies and policies to ensure long term financial stability and growth in the SAaS sector
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data, providing insight to guide decisions.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and reporting, as well as strong appreciation for procedure, process, and operational excellence.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify areas of improvement, cost optimization, revenue growth, and lifetime value of customers.
  • Experience building reports from scratch. Not necessarily a startup environment bites that would be a plus.
  • Evaluate and monitor the financial performance of products and subscription models.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years’ experience minimum 
  • Experience managing junior staff (smaller teams are ok)
  • Executive presentation skills necessary
  • Ability to both lead the creation of financial models while also having “hands-on-keys” to build the models alongside the team
    • i.e., this person will need to both be a manager (~30%) and an individual contributor (~70%)
  • Strong technical proficiency in Excel in both creating and reviewing/editing models
