Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Manager to oversee store operations of our natural and organic grocery store. As the Manager, you will be responsible for stocking, leading the team, running daily reports, financial management of registers, nightly deposits, and providing exceptional customer service to guest. Your role is vital in ensuring a seamless shopping experience that aligns with our commitment to healthy living and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of cashiers and customer service representatives.
- Set performance expectations, provide coaching, and encourage professional development.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally and promptly.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive shopping experience for our diverse customer base.
- Checkout Operations:
- Oversee the efficient operation of cash registers and other checkout equipment.
- Ensure accurate and secure handling of cash and electronic transactions.
- Queue Management:
- Monitor customer queues, proactively addressing delays, and ensuring speedy and efficient checkout processes.
- Training and Development:
- Provide ongoing training for staff on customer service, cash handling, and product knowledge.
- Maintain awareness of product information, promotions, and sales.
- Inventory Control:
- Manage front end inventory, including bags, receipts, and checkout supplies.
- Monitor and order supplies as necessary.
- Financial Accountability:
- Assist with cash management, including making change, balancing registers, nightly deposits, preparing bank deposits, and making nightly deposits.
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve sales targets and profitability goals.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor adherence to product labeling, pricing, and organic and natural product standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in front end management, especially in natural and organic product retail.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of sustainable and organic food products and trends.
- Commitment to promoting healthy and eco-conscious living.
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
