Job Title: Senior QA Tester (Azure & ETL)

Duration - 1+ Year

Location: Austin, TX (Prefer locals: Hybrid- 2-3 days a week onsite/other days remote)

Experience: 10+ Years

Primary Skills: At least 10 years of experience in QA roles, with extremely strong SQL skills, and at least 8 years of experience testing/working with Oracle, Python, ETL technologies, and Azure.

Responsibilities:

The client is looking to fill a new Quality Assurance position and seeking qualified and experienced candidates in this field.

Ideal candidate should have 10+ years of hands-on QA experience with 8+ of Database/ETL testing. Exceptionally strong SQL skills are a must for this position.

Candidate must be capable of constructing complex SQL queries to assert and validate different database views, tables and triggers. Candidate should have experience in developing tests that puts the database under stress and running complex queries to thoroughly test its capabilities and responsiveness with minimal supervision from the developers. Candidates should have experience testing on cloud platform services.

Minimum (Required):

  • 10+ Years of QA experience
  • 8+ Years of Database/ETL testing with exceptionally strong SQL skills
  • Experience in data testing using tools such as SQL, MSSQL, MS SQL Management Studio; Oracle
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure – Synapse Analytics; Apache Pyspark; Spark Notebook
  • Strong Python Skills.
  • Experience working in Reporting products
  • Experience in functional testing of Web Application / Technologies
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to details and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with Developers, Product Managers, Project Managers
  • Should be willing to switch between functional, automation, and manual testing per needs

Preferred (Optional):

  • Nice to have Business Analyst mindset / skill to evaluate user experience in the product and make recommendations to Product Managers. Should be technically adaptable and able to learn new tools and technologies and implement the same within a short duration
  • Experience working in Agile Development Methodology
  • DevOps – CI/CD experience
