Looking for a summer getaway? Look no further, Silver Bay YMCA is hiring, and we want you to join our team Located in Silver Bay, New York in the Adirondacks on the shores of Lake George, Silver Bay YMCA is 700 acres of endless possibilities and opportunities. Founded over 100 years ago, Silver Bay YMCA is a mission-driven Conference and Family Retreat Center that serves 800 people per week during the summer season. Silver Bay YMCA offers a variety of programmatic activities to their guests and members including swimming, boating, fitness classes, indoor climbing, tennis, pickleball, archery, basketball, beach volleyball, hiking, lectures, string quartet concerts, and a craft studio.
Seasonal employees at Silver Bay YMCA start anytime between May and mid-June and have the opportunity to stay as long as mid-November. Seasonal employees at Silver Bay YMCA range from individuals working their first job to retirees. Employees also come from all over the nation and world creating a diverse staff.
Silver Bay YMCA is looking for employees to fill a wide range of fields from kitchen to administration to maintenance to program staff. For a full list of job positions view, Silver Bay YMCA’s seasonal employee booklet here.
Seasonal employees at Silver Bay YMCA are entitled to a variety of benefits including optional housing and meals for a discounted rate, access to all programmatic areas, reciprocal passes, staff programming, scholarships, free Wi-Fi, free Laundry, discounts, membership, free day camp for dependents, and an amazing community of people.
General Information:
- Beginning February 1st a staff team will review all complete applications, conduct interviews and determine job assignments.
- When identifying your arrival and departure date, please keep in mind that we are busy through Labor Day and preference will be given to those staff whose dates best reflect the needs of the YMCA.
- If you worked for Silver Bay within the last 3 years, you do not need to supply references and should fill out the Returning Seasonal Staff Application.
- Silver Bay does provide optional housing and meals for staff 18 years and older for a fee. Please see the Silver Bay's YMCA Seasonal Handbook for more information.
