The ideal candidate will have experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems and a strong ability to communicate effectively with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns. Provide timely and accurate information to clients, addressing their needs and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Shipping Paperwork: Prepare and release shipping documentation for customer orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Purchase Order Management: Review and process customer purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate releases. Coordinate with production and shipping departments to meet customer deadlines.
  • EDI Management: Utilize EDI systems to receive, process, and manage customer orders. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to EDI transactions.
  • Customer Support: Collaborate with internal teams to address any customer issues or discrepancies. Proactively communicate with clients to provide updates and resolve problems.
  • Reporting: Generate and maintain reports related to customer orders, shipping, and inventory. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role within a manufacturing environment, preferably with a focus on plastic injection molding.
  • EDI Knowledge: Familiarity with EDI systems and processes. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify problems and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Degree: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
