Job Description:
Join a dynamic team dedicated to excellence and innovation in the real estate development sector. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every team member contributes to our success. We're looking for a VP of Finance to oversee the financial operations of our division, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and driving strategic growth initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial functions including Accounts Payable, corporate reporting, and Payroll administration.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate closely with the Division President on operational strategies and new business initiatives.
- Oversee the preparation of financial responses to regional inquiries and ensure timely community start-ups.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive business plans and updates, guiding the division towards sustainable growth and cost-saving initiatives.
- Conduct regular operational meetings to review financial results, projections, and strategic plans.
- Implement procedures to optimize budget compliance and propose corrective actions when necessary.
Operational Strategies:
- Manage 3 and 5-year land plans to support strategic growth objectives.
- Lead efforts in securing third-party financing and managing sales, starts, and closings on a daily basis.
- Analyze potential company acquisitions and prepare financial assessments.
- Monitor construction cycle times and implement strategies to meet divisional goals.
- Take ownership of financial statements and ensure accuracy in corporate and regional deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA and MBA preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Controller, Comptroller, or Director of Finance roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience in Hyperion, EssBase, and JD Edwards.
