BODEC, Inc., a leading construction firm specializing in EPC solutions, is seeking a talented and experienced EH&S Manager to join our team. This role will focus on enhancing workplace safety across our high voltage electrical projects. As a mid-senior level professional, you will play a key role in developing and implementing safety policies, overseeing on-site safety practices, and ensuring the well-being of our team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development and Implementation: Create and enforce effective safety policies and procedures based on safety research and industry best practices.
  • Accident Documentation and Investigation: Document and investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and illnesses to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • On-Site Safety Oversight: Conduct regular job site visits to observe and improve safety procedures. Periodic travel is required.
  • Risk Mitigation: Analyze accident reports and implement strategies to reduce workplace injuries.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency evacuation plans, ensuring team familiarity and participation in regular drills.
  • Technology and Equipment Recommendations: Stay updated on safety technology and recommend new equipment and measures to enhance safety.
  • Employee Training: Conduct safety training sessions on emergency response, mechanical safety, handling chemical hazards, and environmental regulations compliance.
  • Accident Tracking and Metrics: Manage systems for tracking safety incidents and analyze metrics to identify trends and improvements.
  • Insurance Claims & Reports: File and manage insurance claims related to accidents and workers' compensation, providing necessary documentation and following claims through to completion.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Maintain safety management databases and employee safety files, including training, licenses, certifications, and infractions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in high voltage electrical settings.
  • Required certifications: OSHA 500 or greater, CHST or greater from BSCP (or equivalent), MSHA Trainer (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Periodic travel is required.
