Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and management team to create and execute a tailored site-specific EHS plan, ensuring adherence to corporate and regional EHS standards.
  • Assist in coordinating EHS protocols with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and minimizing risks.
  • Conduct thorough on-site EHS audits and regular inspections to verify compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, providing detailed reports for management review.
  • Support injured employees during medical evaluations, ensuring all safety protocols are strictly followed.
  • Advise on Industrial Hygiene practices and conduct Environmental Monitoring as needed.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Company’s Drug-Free Workplace Policy, ensuring compliance with testing protocols.
  • Facilitate training sessions for personnel on EHS requirements, including orientation for new hires.
  • Manage the corporate SPAT process for assigned projects.
  • Provide weekly updates on EHS activities to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction EHS sector.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, hazard recognition, and injury management.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb as necessary.
