In this role, you'll be the linchpin between our marketing efforts and various departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. We're looking for someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a keen sensitivity to the nuances of seasonality.

Objective: Develop rapid familiarity with the culture of the Club, its membership and meet the communication and marketing needs of its committees, membership and staff.

Responsibilities:

Communications & Website

  • Acting Editor and Designer of Club’s monthly newsletter publication. Responsible for content quality and timeliness.
  • Assures that website content is timely, comprehensive, accurate, appropriate, and attractive.
  • Ensures event registrations/dining reservations are built properly and maintained on the website.
  • Manages all projects associated with site functions.
  • Serve as point of contact for third party website vendor/host.
  • Maintains and executes Club Email Communication Calendar.
  • Evaluate present electronic communications and database operations to improve processes and develop ideas for the future.

Brand Identity Guidelines

  • Maintains, reinforces and protects the Club brand and voice, both internally among staff and externally to Members and the public.
  • Graphic layout skills and knowledge relative to web, printed material and presentations.
  • Responsible for all Club related collateral including but not limited to menus, golf book, programs, invitations, emails, printed signage, and brochures.
  • Interact with colleagues to interpret and translate their expressed needs and ideas into effective material.
  • Ensures photos are taken for all Club events, either by self or by coordinating with other Club staff that will be present. Utilize images for internal marketing materials, website and to maintain archives.
  • Handles responding to member questions, comments, outside reviews, press related to the Club.

Other Responsibilities

  • Interface with outside vendors as needed for projects.
  • Utilize analytical tools, such as communication metrics, to enhance the member experience and effective communication.
  • Answers and redirects Club phone calls, engages and interfaces with Member as needed.
  • Develops an operating budget for the department; after approval, monitors and takes corrective action as necessary to assure that the budget’s cost goals are attained.
  • Provide full schedule transparency to ensure ease of connectivity for all managing team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communication or Related Field preferred.
  • Proficient in Mac-based Creative Cloud design suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Office software including Word, Excel, PPT and Outlook.
  • Photo/Video production skills or willingness to learn are considered an asset.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • Flexible work schedule (nights and weekends required based on events calendar)
  • Club experience preferred.

Salary and Benefits
Vicmead Hunt Club offers a generous compensation package including salary and a benefits package that is commensurate with qualifications and experience. In addition to time off benefits, full time salaried employees are entitled to ten (10) paid holidays.

Though the activity of foxhunting ceased long ago, the Club maintains the feel of an intimate country farmhouse, surrounded by horses in open pasture, on acres of undeveloped scenic property. On its two campuses, Vicmead Hunt Club and Bidermann Golf Course, the Club offers an array of activities including tennis, squash, paddle tennis, pickleball, golf, swimming, dining, and a full calendar of member social events.
