Position Overview: As an AR / AP Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the service of Linkage’s customers, carriers, and vendors. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with shippers and carriers through the effective processing of payments, invoices, and all aspects of the accounting process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

· Setup new vendors including requesting COI & W-9 forms

· Invoice entry

· Management of expense reimbursements

· Process of invoice payments and ensure accuracy of information

· Review and reconcile vendor statements to resolve any discrepancies.

· Prepare and process regular check runs or electronic payments

· Management of Positive Pay accounts

· Generating and reviewing of AP aging

· Entry of credit card receipts and management of online accounts

· Collaborate with other departments to resolve any billing or payment issues

· Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable

• Record and manage cash receipts, ACH payments, and manual transactions.
• Handle indexing, approval, and payment of invoices, load documents, and accessorial receipts
• Process Accounts Payable invoices, payments, review and reconcile bank and credit card statements.
• Process Invoices for customers and ensure timely collection
• Efficiently manage all aspects of AP, AR, and Carrier Settlements within the Mcleod TMS.

Qualifications:

· 5 years minimum of accounting experience; logistics- industry preferred

· Experience in reconciliation of bank and credit card statements

· Experience in purchase order systems

· Working knowledge of web-based programs related to logistics

· Experience with Mcleod Software is a plus

· Intermediate or higher experience with Microsoft Excel

· Proven attendance record, attention to detail and accuracy
