At Custom Sheetmetal & Roofing, Inc., we are looking for a dedicated person to complement our team. We would like to consider your resume if you have 1 or more years of dispatch experience, computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the strong ability to take initiative. A basic knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing is also important.

 

Applicant must have a strong capacity to handle varying work tasks including phone calls, assisting with customer service, dispatching service techs, filing of paperwork, ordering of parts, and willingness to help with any and all tasks as they arise.

 

We desire a patient, organized and efficient candidate, willing to exceed expectations at any level of task. A positive attitude and readiness to help out in all aspects of the service department are characteristics that are a must to succeed in this position.

 

Our Service Dispatcher will handle day-to-day dispatch operations, as well as assist other members of our team on an ongoing basis with communications and any necessary paperwork. Diverse duties include but are not limited to: answering and directing phone calls, dispatching Service and Plumbing Tech’s, ordering parts, and materials needed for Technicians, assist with other tasks as they arise.

Our ideal candidate is able to follow instructions well, demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of their work, and meet deadlines with ease. Customer service and people skills are a must.

Skills & Experience Required

· Ability to answer and direct incoming phone calls

· Basic knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing

· Ability to organize and dispatch technicians with all necessary information needed

· Excellent written and oral communications

· Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite

· Time management skills

· Proof-reading skills

· Excellent organizational skills

· Ability to work independently with high-level productivity

· Customer service skills

· One year of related dispatch experience

 

Duties & Responsibilities

· Answer and direct incoming phone calls

· Dispatch Service / Plumbing Tech’s

· Handle warranty claims paperwork and returns

· Maintain knowledge of Service / Plumbing Tech locations

· Order parts/materials for Tech’s

· Filing of paperwork

· Scan, Fax, E-mail, etc.

· Creates professional communications on behalf of Officers and Estimators in Word, Outlook and our CRM system

· Accepts walk-in and phone credit card payments

· Other miscellaneous duties: back-up and support as needed

 

Other Position Details

 

Commitment: 40 hours per week, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

 

Compensation: Salary pay will depend on experience, plus benefits (Health and dental insurance, 401K, paid time off).
