Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and implementing the quality standards for products and evaluating them for effectiveness
  • Monitoring quality testing and identifying gaps in the testing
  • Staying current on laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Overseeing the quality assurance team
  • Training employees on quality procedures
  • Managing quality reports and documentation
  • Collecting and analyzing quality assurance data
  • Working with third-party auditors, consultants, and customers to ensure the company meets quality expectations of manufactured product
  • Plans and conducts internal audits
  • Ensure the availability of required tools, including calibrated measuring equipment
  • Take appropriate corrective actions on identified problems
  • Identify potential sources of error and suggest ways to eliminate them
  • Continuous process improvement
  • Support the development of new product(s)

 

Supplier/Contractor Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the supplier selection process. This includes reviewing the documents submitted by the suppliers and on-site audit (if required)
  • Review documents prepared and submitted by suppliers and contractors
  • Periodic evaluations of suppliers' performance
  • Support the supplier performance improvement process

 

Client Related Responsibilities:

  • Verify that specifications provided by clients have been correctly understood and transferred into the internal documents
  • Periodic meetings with clients
  • Responding to client complaints related to product quality, conducting root cause analysis, and taking necessary corrective actions

 

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Maintain quality documentation
  • Keep track of quality training attended by staff
  • Report quality findings and issues to superiors when necessary
  • Serve as liaison between company officials and external agencies (as appropriate)
  • Coordinate efforts among different departments within the company
  • Compile quality information needed for management review
  • Participate in meetings held at various levels within the organization
  • Annual evaluations of subordinates' performances
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial statements

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, quality or equivalent
  • Five years of progressive experience working in quality roles
  • Excellent leadership, teaching, and coaching skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of SPC, ISO 9001
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and critical, analytical thinking skills
  • Technical skills and comfort with databases and report generation software
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and standards
  • Good self-control and conflict management skills
