-Bulk Material Handling and Processing Company headquartered in the Wilmington, Delaware area is seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Mechanic to join our team.

The Crane Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing corrective/preventative maintenance on various types of cranes used in industrial, construction, logistics & freight, and manufacturing settings. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to quality workmanship are essential for success in this role.

*Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on cranes to ensure optimal functionality and safety compliance.
*Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues accurately and efficiently.
*Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, brakes, gears, bearings, and electrical wiring.
*Conduct thorough testing of repaired equipment to verify proper operation and safety standards.
*Utilize hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment, to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
*Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to assist in troubleshooting and repair processes.
*Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and work performed.
*Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and optimize crane availability.
*Follow established safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
*Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to crane maintenance and repair.
*Ensure company Safety Policy and OSHA Compliance is adhered to daily.
*Complete other duties as request by manager

Qualifications:
*High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in heavy equipment mechanics or a related field is preferred.
*Proven experience as a crane mechanic or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
*Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
*Familiarity with various types of cranes, including overhead cranes, mobile cranes, tower cranes, and gantry cranes.
*Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
*Excellent problem
-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
*Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
*Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
*Commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
*Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Certification or licensure in crane operation or crane maintenance.
*Prior experience working with specific crane brands or manufacturers.
*Knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes.
*Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities.
*Willingness to pursue ongoing training and professional development opportunities in the field of crane maintenance and repair.
*Safety certification credentials a plus (OSHA Ideally)
*Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC credentials within 90 days of hire
*Must be willing to join Union

Work Environment/Physical :

*Will be required to walk, stand, and bend throughout the shift.
*Must be able to climb up and down ladders, stairs, and equipment.
*Adapt to climates based on outside weather conditions.
*Able to work in an environment with moving objects, and machinery.
