Birth Center Medical Assistant (Part-time)
Beginnings Birth Center | Colorado Springs, CO

Salary: $18-$21/hourly depending on experience

Job Type: Part-time | 2-3 days per week | 8:30am – 5:30pm

*Our clinic offers longer clinic days until 8:30pm which all MA staff are asked to help staff if needed.

Our beautiful Beginnings Birth Center is a freestanding birth center located in Colorado Springs, CO. We are seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our team who has a strong interest and passion for women’s healthcare. This position will include orientation as a medical assistant in the birth center clinic. The ideal candidate is motivated, dedicated and has a strong desire to provide world-class patient care and provide exceptional office support to our team.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Basic computer skills required.

·         BLS required.

·         1+ years of Medical office MA and phlebotomy experience preferred.

·         Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

·         We are looking for someone who has a heart for women’s health and is interested in being part of a small birth center team.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES

●        Set up of clinic rooms at beginning of clinic day.

●        Ordering labs according to provider orders in online lab systems.

●        Lab collection including phlebotomy.

●        Assistance with birth center clinic appointments and procedures.

●        Assistance in general birth center organization/cleaning.

●        Restocking of clinic rooms.

·         Clear and effective communication skills (both written and verbal).

·         Extremely reliable and punctual.

·         Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues of all levels and build cross-functional relationships.
