Job DescriptionJob Description Mid American Signal is an established Traffic Systems Distributor in the Midwest United States, specializing in Traffic Signal Systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Connected Vehicle Systems & Roadway Lighting Systems.  We are currently planning to expand our team by seeking to employ a full-time, skilled Traffic Systems Technical Sales Representative based in the Milwaukee/Madison WI metro area. 

Qualified candidates shall meet the following requirements as a minimum: 

  • Assist customers in solving basic to complex traffic control system issues
  • Ability to work productively and collaboratively in a remote office environment
  • Assist with trouble calls, system commissioning, and customer training
  • Valid driver's license - must meet insurance underwriting requirements
Preferred candidates should be able to meet the following:
 
  • 3 years experience - Sales, marketing & account management in a Traffic Signal and/or Intelligent Transportation Systems or related field;
  • Tier One technical support and understanding of traffic signal control systems
  •  International Municipal Signal Association – Traffic Signal Technician Level II certification or ability to obtain same within two years of employment, or other verifiable experience
  • Must have the flexibility to travel (average 40% of time, as high as 70% of time) to customer locations within assigned region
    • Travel to our Kansas City, KS headquarters is also occasionally required
  • Professionalism, customer service skills, and effective communication skills
  • Ability read and understand electrical wiring diagrams and civil traffic engineering plans
  • Ability to understand and set up software, networking, and programmable logic circuits
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Microsoft Office suite

Schedule is Monday through Friday with occasional weekends
