Mandarin Customer Service Rep.

Our client is a New York State government agency dedicated to supporting small businesses and providing resources to business owners. Our mission is to assist small businesses in navigating the resources available to them and offering support for their growth and success.
They are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team on a long-term temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting small businesses with inquiries regarding available resources and funding opportunities. This is a remote position, and the candidate must have access to a phone, laptop, and reliable internet connection. Training will be provided to ensure proficiency in the role.
Key Responsibilities: Remote (Must live in New York State)
- Respond to inbound calls from small business owners and provide information on New York City's resources for small businesses.
- Assist callers with inquiries regarding available funding and loan options.
- Handle stressful conversations and difficult customer interactions with professionalism and empathy.
- Utilize a portal/program to provide accurate and up-to-date information to businesses.
- Place outbound calls to small businesses as necessary to provide further assistance or gather required information.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Stay updated on changes in available resources and funding opportunities.
- Provide feedback to management regarding common inquiries and areas for improvement in processes or services.
Requirements:
· High school diploma required, Associates degree or higher is a plus.
· 1 year of administrative support experience.
- Microsoft office (Word and Excel).
- Mandarin Speaker – Fluent
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Time management skills and ability prioritize competing projects.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Proof of vaccination for COVID-19, Flu, and PPD required.
