Job DescriptionJob Description

  1. Product Inspection:

    • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of injection-molded products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with specified quality standards.

  2. Quality Assurance:

    • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to prevent defects and deviations in products, ensuring they meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.

  3. Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, including measurements, observations, and any deviations from quality standards. Document and report non-conformities promptly.

  4. Calibration:

    • Regularly calibrate and verify inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy in measurement. Report any discrepancies or issues with equipment promptly.

  5. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with production teams, molding technicians, and quality assurance personnel to address quality concerns, provide feedback on defects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  6. Root Cause Analysis:

    • Investigate and identify the root causes of quality issues, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective and preventive actions.

  7. Sampling and Testing:

    • Conduct random and systematic sampling of injection-molded products for additional testing, such as material properties, tensile strength, and other relevant characteristics.

  8. Process Audits:

    • Perform periodic audits of injection molding processes to ensure that equipment is properly set up, parameters are within specified ranges, and operators are following established procedures.

  9. Training:

    • Provide training to production personnel on quality standards, inspection techniques, and the importance of adherence to established processes.

  10. Continuous Improvement:

    • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing enhancements to quality control processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in injection molding or quality control is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in an injection molding environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality standards.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey quality requirements and findings clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Familiarity with relevant quality management systems and standards.
