Our entire team prides ourselves with our white glove service and high attention to detail, resulting in a very loyal and consistent client base. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dog daycare and grooming facility. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal care, have excellent organizational and leadership skills, and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all dogs in our care, as well as oversee the grooming services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Staff: Lead, train, and manage a team of dog handlers, daycare assistants, driver and groomers. Ensure staff adhere to safety protocols and provide high-quality care to all dogs. 

  • Daily Operations: Oversee the daily activities of the daycare and grooming facility, including scheduling, staff assignments, and facility maintenance. Ensure all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Attending park visits with the dogs to ensure safety of dogs.

  • Dog Care: Monitor the health and well-being of all dogs. Ensure proper feeding, exercise, and socialization. Address any behavioral issues and administer basic first aid if needed.

  • Grooming Services: Manage the grooming operations, including scheduling appointments, overseeing groomers, and ensuring high standards of grooming services. Address any customer concerns related to grooming.

  • Customer Service: Interact with dog owners, provide updates on their pets, address any concerns, and ensure a positive customer experience. Manage bookings, inquiries, and client communications. Provide daily photo updates of each dog to parents.

  • Safety and Compliance: Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure the welfare of all dogs and staff. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including California labor laws and industry standards.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all dogs, including health information, behavior notes, grooming details, and incident reports. Manage inventory of supplies and order as needed.

  • Marketing and Promotion: Assist in promoting the daycare and grooming services through social media, events, and other marketing efforts. 

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in animal care or related field preferred.

  • Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Knowledge of dog behavior, basic training techniques, and grooming practices.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as cleaning, feeding, handling dogs of all sizes, and grooming. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Motivation: Excited to step in and help run the daily operations of a boutique daycare and grooming facility. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a dog daycare, grooming, animal shelter, or similar environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

  • Fluent in spoken Mandarin Chinese is a plus.

  • Certification in pet first aid and CPR.

  • Background in animal behavior or veterinary assistance.

  • Experience with business management or marketing.

 

Pay and Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay - Pay range for this role is $60k-$70k annual salary, depending on experience and skill level.

  • 10 PTO days annually

  • 5 paid sick days per year 

Hours

  • Day shifts

  • Monday - Friday

  • Holidays as needed

  • Expected to be on site in San Francisco’s Soma district
