We are in search of a passionate and skilled Manager to lead the daily operations of our dog daycare and grooming services. The successful candidate will have a strong affinity for animal welfare, outstanding organizational capabilities, and the ability to foster a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all dogs under our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and manage a dedicated team of dog handlers, daycare assistants, drivers, and groomers. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and deliver exceptional care to all dogs.
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily functions of the daycare and grooming facility, including staff scheduling, assignments, and maintenance of the premises. Ensure cleanliness and safety throughout the facility.
- Animal Care: Monitor the health and well-being of all dogs, ensuring proper feeding, exercise, and socialization. Address behavioral concerns and provide basic first aid when necessary.
- Grooming Oversight: Manage grooming operations, including appointment scheduling and supervising groomers, while maintaining high grooming standards and addressing customer inquiries.
- Client Relations: Engage with dog owners, providing updates on their pets and addressing any concerns to ensure a positive experience. Manage bookings and client communications, including daily photo updates of each dog.
- Safety Protocols: Implement and uphold safety measures to protect the welfare of dogs and staff, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate records for all dogs, including health data, behavior notes, grooming information, and incident reports. Manage inventory and supplies efficiently.
- Marketing Initiatives: Assist in promoting daycare and grooming services through various marketing channels and community events.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in animal care or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, along with excellent communication and customer service abilities. Knowledge of dog behavior and grooming practices is essential.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as cleaning, feeding, and handling dogs of various sizes.
- Motivation: A proactive approach to managing the daily operations of a boutique daycare and grooming facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a dog daycare, grooming, or animal care environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in spoken Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
- Certifications: Certification in pet first aid and CPR is advantageous.
- Background: Experience in animal behavior or veterinary assistance is preferred.
- Business Acumen: Familiarity with business management or marketing strategies is beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $60k-$70k annually, based on experience and skill level.

- 10 days of paid time off annually and 5 paid sick days per year.
Work Schedule:
- Day shifts, Monday through Friday.
