Your Role:

As an Equipment Mechanic, you’ll be the go-to expert for diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of medium and heavy-duty equipment. Your mission is to ensure our machinery operates at peak performance, from performing routine maintenance to handling emergency repairs. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our high standards of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose & Repair: Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across various machinery and equipment, including forklifts, tractors, and trailers.
  • Maintenance Mastery: Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements to keep our equipment in top shape.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers with their equipment needs, offering expert advice and repair services as required.
  • Documentation & Communication: Submit detailed repair bids to the Service Manager, complete all paperwork promptly, and communicate effectively with the Equipment Service Manager.
  • Training & Support: Contribute to the training of new employees and support the team with your mechanical expertise.
  • Emergency Response: Perform road calls and emergency services as dictated by customer needs, ensuring timely and effective solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience & Skills: Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in construction rental/equipment maintenance. Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge is essential.
  • Technical Know-How: Ability to read and understand schematics, experience with computer-assisted troubleshooting, and general computer skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, operate equipment, and perform tasks that require climbing and close and distant vision.
  • Education & Licensing: High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license required. Knowledge of fabricating equipment is a plus.
