Job DescriptionJob Description

This position manages the human resource, compensation, recruitment, payroll, benefits, employee safety and administration functions of the company. Accountable for enforcing human resources policy and procedures within the Corporate and Company philosophy, and government laws and regulations. This position also manages the HR Department and Facilities staff.

  • Recommend, develop, implement, update and maintain policies and procedures which align with corporate philosophy, company strategies and government regulations to include employee relations, compensation and employment management.
  • Develop compensation policies to align with company goals and government regulations and implement a competitive compensation plan. Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization. Researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Implement policies which emphasize on employee talents & potential and utilize toward company goals in a teamwork environment. Recommend basic computer skills, self-improvement, teamwork, safety, quality assurance, prevent harassment and management training.
  • Manage recruitment process and hiring of current and future vacant positions. Build a networking system with local colleges and technical schools to include internships. Analyze staffing and temporary help usage. Conduct cost/benefit analysis.
  • Manages and oversees property and liability insurance.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and managing the worker compensation program and oversees the annual audit.
  • Oversee benefit, employee safety, training, employee services and facilities/general administration.
  • Administers retirement plan, 401K, and oversees annual audit.
  • Coordinates the administration of employee safety.
  • Respond to employee relations issues to include harassment, disciplinary action, employee complaints and other. Advise management of appropriate resolution. Handle as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 5 - 7 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Human Resources Management / Payroll System – Proficient
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint – Intermediate Proficiency
  • English Language (Speaking/Listening/Writing), Spanish a plus
  • Knowledge: Human Resources regulations
  • Skills: Reading comprehension, Active listening, Speaking, Business Writing, Problem Solving, Coordination, Service Orientation, Multitasking, Positive Attitude and Demeanor, Teamwork
  • International and US Travel: Between 5% to 25%
  • Certification in SPHR , PHR, SHRM-CP and /or SHRM-SCP
