Clinical Support Liaison

The Clinical Support Liaison is responsible for integrating work and coordinating medication support services for Agency clients. Additionally, the Clinical Support Liaison is responsible for quality assurance of clinical charts, enrolling clients in the Agency’s electronic health record (EHR), and ensuring timely scheduling of medication support services.
DUTIES:
1. Schedules client initial and ongoing medication support appointments
2. Maintains a tickler of medication support appointments
3. Submits completed Psychotropic Medication Authorizations to the designated court and follows through on obtaining approvals/denials
4. Facilitates communication between clinical staff, psychiatrist and psychiatric nurse practitioners
5. Follow-through on obtaining required reports to psychiatrist and psychiatric nurse practitioners
6. Provides supportive services to the psychiatric team including the preparation of charts for appointments
7. Assist in training of new staff
8. Assist with greeting and assisting walk in guests and answering phones
9. Maintains client documentation tickler
10. Performs data entry into the EHRS for billing and client information recording purposes
11. Accurately completes pertinent Department of Mental Health and Agency forms
12. Assures accurate filing and data entry by staff
13. Performs Medi-Cal eligibility verifications on state online system.
14. Participate in peer reviews
15. Participate in agency/program Performance and Quality Improvement projects
16. Adhere to agency safety protocols
17. Provides other duties as needed and directed by Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited university or college and at least one-year experience working in comparable agency.
2. Valid California Driver’s License and an insurable driving record
3. Excellent organizational, analytical, written and oral communications skills
4. Must work well under time constraints and deadlines, and have flexibility to function in a fast-paced environment
5. Criminal record and health clearances
PHYSICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Must have the visual, physical and technical ability to independently operate a variety of office equipment including the use of a computer.
2. Must be capable of bending, stooping, filing, lifting of at least 25 lbs and able to interrupt physical altercations
3. Must have the ability to verbally communicate well with others.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/INTERACTIONS
1. Interfaces with all levels of management, staff, clients and families including other agency programs and
partner agencies
