Production Supervisor

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Responsibilties: 

• Supervise, evaluate, analyze, motive, train and discipline production staff to include mixers and weighers.  Inform Asst. Production Manager of production status, issues, strategies, suggestions, recommendations, shift hand off.  Coordinate with mixing and weighing leads to achieve production schedule and resolve production issues. 
• Evaluate and analyze production to maintain optimum efficiency.  Monitor output levels.
• Ensure appropriate staffing, schedule staff and assign to mix stations.
• Train staff and enforce company policies and procedures, safety policies,  OSHA, SOPS, SQF and GMPS.  Ensure production meets quality control measures. 
• Maintain communication between the weighing and mixing area to ensure needed resources for production.
• Coordinate with cross-functional business teams (Maintenance, QA, R&D, Material Control, Warehouse/Distribution) to develop the best strategies to achieve production.  Coordinate with Maintenance on any set-up, mechanical problems and ensure quality and productivity are met.  Coordinate with QA and R&D on production, new products, special productions, etc.  Coordinate with Material Control and Scheduling on production.
