We are looking for a full-time Clinical Medical Assistant to join our growing primary care clinic team

This role includes clinical and administrative duties to support the providers and other healthcare personnel in providing quality care.

Hours: Full-Time 32-40 hours per week

Benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision benefits are available after a 60-day employment period. 401K and PTO are available.

Responsibilities:

  • The medical assistant is responsible for providing exceptional patient care under the direct supervision of our licensed medical staff members and completing the clerical and clinical duties within their scope for the provision of care.
  • Rooming patients, taking vital signs, recording patients' chief complaint, reviewing the current list of medications, and any relevant health care information to keep the chart up to date.
  • Assist clinicians with exams, treatments, procedures, and Medications Pre-authorizations.
  • Perform EKGs, administer injections and medications, routine specimen collection, proper documentation, and daily logs.
  • Conduct laboratory tests such as urinalysis, and pregnancy tests- Current Nevada Laboratory Assistant License is a plus but not required.
  • In charge of cleanliness and preparation of exam rooms for patient visits including stocking medical supplies and maintaining inventory.
  • Help cover for other MAs and the Front desk, if necessary, at any of our clinics as requested by the supervisor.
  • Maintain appropriate and efficient communication with all departments and personnel within and outside our clinics and patients.
  • Returning patient calls as needed, in a timely fashion.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.

​Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in healthcare or other related fields
  • High-school Diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate required (CMA, RMA, or NCMA).
  • CPR-BLS certification is a plus.
  • Experience with electronic health records.
  • Attention to detail: as a medical assistant, you will be responsible for entering and maintaining a large amount of data, such as patient records. It is important to be able to identify any errors or inconsistencies.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills for interacting with our patients and other professionals.
  • Knowledge of clinical terminology, insurance, diagnosis coding, HIPAA privacy standards, and requirements regarding patient confidentiality
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-oriented communication skills. Dealing with patients' questions, and concerns is a major part of the job. You will need to be patient and empathetic when helping resolve any issues that occur.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills. You will need to be able to discuss instructions and providers' orders with patients. Good communication is key to helping patients know what things they need to do when getting care.
