PrideStaff is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Coordinator for a Manufacturing Facility in Matthews, NC. The Project Coordinator will interact with Estimating, Sales, CAD, and Project Management to perform administrative responsibilities associated with a project. The Project Coordinator also serves as secondary customer contact in the absence of the Project Manager.
Pay: $23-24/hr.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Friday 7:00 AM until Noon
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative assistance and support to Project Management, Estimating, Sales, and Construction.
- Assists Construction with planning and coordinating project schedules and administrative tasks.
- With direction from Project Management, assists with coordinating all contractual requirements, design drawings, and project submittals.
- Initiates and manages change order procedures as necessary:
- Initiates and oversees internal change order procedures.
- Provides focal point of customer communication to verify agreements and potential other solutions to avoid additional costs to stakeholders.
- Manages project invoice schedule based on contract terms and allowances.
- Assists Sales with administrative tasks as needed, to include: Prequalification documentation, report(s) as requested.
- Organizes and maintains project files; supports the office in process improvement initiatives.
- Regularly updates the JST project information system.
- Creates and maintains administrative files. For example: In House Inspection packages, letters of transmittal, certificates of insurance, bills of lading, credit applications, tax exemption certificates, and any other required submittals.
- Collaborates with Accounting department for internal invoicing procedures.
- Sends project information to engineering team.
- Applies for and closeout permits as required.
- Applies for and closeout jurisdictional licensing as required.
- Distributes permit drawings, elevation forms, field request forms, anchor bolt shipment requests, and warranty request forms as requested.
- Maintains company's high standards for customer service and quality of workmanship.
- Lives out the company's core values in all work practices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have excellent communication skills and be a motivated team player.
- Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Project Management software is a plus.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
- Detail and deadline oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and work in an environment with a large volume of projects.
- Strong organization, self-management, and positive people skills are required.
- Must have the ability to work well in a team environment and possess a team-first mentality.
- Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus.
- Must be efficient, results oriented, resilient, flexible and goal oriented.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in related field preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in a project administration or project management support within the construction industry, a plus.
